Energy Saving Lightbulb giveaway in the UK!

Apparently, in the UK, a store called Sainsburys is giving away free compact flourescent light bulbs this Saturday!  They are trying to give away one-million of the bulbs in recognition of the clocks “falling back” (ending Daylight Savings Time) to encourage people to save energy in the upcoming “darker months.” All they have to do is sign a pledge that they will save energy!

Read more about it at the Coding Grasshopper blog.

Why aren’t any stores in the US doing this?  Let me know what you think by leaving a comment!

Namaste,

They’re not doing it because they want to make money from those bulbs. They’re expensive!
